Many of us experience poor body image and often think negative thoughts. These thoughts create a stress response in our body. Anytime the body feels stress it shuts down our metabolism. So next time you catch yourself looking in the mirror and think some not so pleasant thoughts about yourself try this exercise.
Think of something your really love such as family, pets, nature, etc. Now really feel that love then breathe that into your body. Keep breathing until that loving energy fills your whole being. Did you notice one area that seemed to need more loving energy? Did the energy stop in a certain area, such as your thighs or belly? If so continue this exercise to shift that energy in the area that needs it most.
